Washington (CNN) Attorney Evan Corcoran, who represented former President Donald Trump in the special counsel’s investigation into the Mar-a-Lago documents, testified to investigators, CNN reported.

Despite recusing himself from the Mar-a-Lago hearing weeks ago, Corcoran continues to represent Trump in other matters, including the January 6, 2021 hearing. Days after he testified in the Mar-a-Lago documents case, he appeared in court on behalf of the former president for sealed proceedings related to that part of Smith’s investigation.
Now that he has testified, Corcoran can appear again on Trump’s behalf in the documents case.

He first appeared before a grand jury in January, but declined to answer questions revealing his counsel for Trump and their conversations, citing attorney-client privilege, a source previously told CNN.
