300K vehicles including Ford, Jeep, Genesis have been recalled

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued several recalls last week, including Hyundai recalling nearly 100,000 Genesis vehicles for fire hazards and nearly 200,000 Jeep vehicles for a problem with the defrosting system.

Hyundai is recalling Genesis vehicles due to engine fire

Until recall repairs are completed, Genesis owners are advised to park outside and away from any buildings. Chrysler is recalling Jeep vehicles due to the defrost system freezing up

Chrysler The recall includes 199,143 vehicles of the 2021-2024 Jeep Wrangler and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles.

FORD RECALLS FOR POWER STEERING PRESSURE LINE LEAK

Ford Its 2021-2022 E-350 and E-450 recalls 16,543 vehicles equipped with two rear wheels. A connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit may cause a sudden loss of power steering fluid. A sudden loss of power steering fluid can cause loss of steering and brake assist and increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA reports.

Dealers will replace the power steering pressure line and hydroboost jumper line. This service is provided free of cost. Mercedes-Benz is recalling vehicles for ground cable issue

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 12,191 vehicles for a problem with the 48-volt ground cable connector, which may not be properly tightened and may overheat, NHTSA said.
