Five hundred dishes, more than a thousand guests and a multi-million dollar budget – this is how the son of Asia's richest man celebrated his upcoming wedding.
Anand Ambani and his wife-to-be Radhika Merchant's three-day extravaganza saw Bollywood royalty rub shoulders with tech billionaires, sports superstars and Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka.
The event captivated viewers in India and abroad, who recorded every detail of the party thrown by her father Mukesh Ambani in Jamnagar, Gujarat over the weekend.
It was so large that the local airport was temporarily given international status as it received visitors from all over the country and the world. Airport officials said about 130 flights arrived for the event, bringing the likes of Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg to the area.
Most guests stayed in luxury “glamping” tents near the venue, which offered a level of luxury most would struggle to imagine, let alone – and could choose from more than 500 dishes created by dozens of chefs from around the world.
Hair and make-up artists, laundry services and stylists were also on hand to help any guests prepare for the themed gatherings – said to be carefully laid out on a nine-page schedule.
The highlight was pop star Rihanna's first performance in India, for which she was rumored to have been paid somewhere in the $7m (£5.5m) range. The BBC could not independently confirm this figure.
Some of India's biggest film stars also danced on stage to his hit songs.
Guests toured Anant Ambani's Pet Project – a 3,000-acre shelter home to thousands of animals.
However, it is not about the party. Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, has an estimated net worth of $115 billion, according to Forbes — and 14 new temples have been built in the city, according to local reports.
All eyes are now likely to be on the July wedding in Mumbai.
