Britney Spears reveals two decades of personal experience in her upcoming memoir.
During her relationship with Justin Timberlake, Spears got pregnant and had an abortion by the singer, she writes in a published book excerpt. People.
“It’s a surprise, but to me, it’s not a tragedy. I loved Justin very much. I always hoped that one day we would have a family together. It will be much sooner than I expected,” Spears writes in her book, “The Woman in Me.” .

A representative for Timberlake did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.
At the top, Spears writes about how conflicted she felt at the time
“If it had been left to me, I would never have done it,” he writes. “Justin was still adamant he didn’t want to be a father.”
“To this day, it’s one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced in my life,” he adds.
Timberlake and Spears dated from 1999 to 2002.
Spears later married dancer Kevin Federline and had two sons, Sean Preston, 18, and Jaden James, 17, before she and Federline divorced in 2007.
Timberlake married actress Jessica Biel in 2012, and the couple are parents to two young sons, Silas and Phineas.
“The Woman In Me” releases on October 24.
