9:03 PM PT — Video has surfaced showing part of the attack, where you see someone continue to beat Tekashi as the rapper does his best to protect his face.
Update
Tekashi 6ix9ine The controversial rapper was taken to the hospital by ambulance after he was brutally beaten by a group of people inside a South Florida gym … with serious injuries.
6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazarustells TMZ … the rapper was in the sauna at an LA fitness center Tuesday when he was suddenly attacked by several guys without warning.
Lazaro says 6ix9ine tried to fight off the militants, but there were too many of them and beat him to a pulp before fleeing. Lance notes 6ix9ine has no defense with him during the attack.
The gym staff who heard the noise immediately informed the manager. Police and EMS were then called to the scene and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
We have obtained a photo of Tekashi from the hospital where his face can be seen with bruises and swelling. We are told he suffered injuries to his jaw, ribs and back.
As a next step, Lazaro says he plans to call the feds to make sure 6ix9ine gets the protection he clearly needs. Remember, He was granted early release Cooperated with authorities from federal prison and put many of his gang members behind bars.
It is unclear at this time whether the gym attack has anything to do with Tekashi’s cooperation.
