Dyson recalled nearly 30,000 pounds of Dino chicken nuggets

Nearly 30,000 pounds of dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets are being recalled because they may have been contaminated with metal fragments, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Saturday.

The remember Officials said Tyson Foods’ frozen, “fully cooked fun nuggets breaded chicken patties” in 29-ounce plastic bag packages had a “best before” date of September 4, 2024. Product was shipped to distributors in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

According to the USDA, a minor oral injury has been reported in connection with chicken lumps.

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned that some consumers still have dino nuggets in their freezers.

Manufactured on Sept. 5, lot numbers are 2483BRV0207, 2483BRV0208, 2483BRV0209 and 2483BRV0210.

In its recall warning, Dyson Foods The metal pieces are small and flexible. The recall was issued out of an abundance of caution, the company said.

The USDA said those with bags of nuggets should throw them out or return them to where they were purchased. Consumers who purchased the affected product should cut the UPC and date code from the packaging, discard the product and call or text, Tyson said.1-855-382-3101.
