Kerry Washington, Mindy Kaling among confirmed hosts of Democratic National Convention

The Democratic National Convention will hold its awards show this week in Chicago, with a total of four hosts set to lead the event — one for each night of the convention, officials said. CNN.

Each is expected to open the night with their own introduction, then return throughout the night to wrap up the event and introduce new segments. The convention will have a different theme each night, including “For the People” on Monday, “A Bold Vision for America’s Future” on Tuesday, “Fighting for Our Freedom” on Wednesday and “For Our Future” on Thursday.

Washington, who heads his own political nonprofit, Influence Change, will host the convention’s big night on Thursday, when Vice President Kamala Harris will formally accept the Democratic presidential nomination.
