The friendship between Prince William and Swift goes way back.
In 2013, the duo performed at a London fundraiser with Jon Bon Jovi, where they recorded the song “Livin’ on a Prayer”.
Prince William opened up about the moment during Apple Fitness+’s “Time to Walk” audio fitness experience in 2021, in which a guest host took listeners through a meaningful space.
“To this day, I don’t know what came over me,” Prince William said of the moment on stage with Swift and Bon Jovi. “Honestly, even now I don’t understand what happened next, I don’t understand why I left. But obviously, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your hand, and says, ‘Come with me…’ . . . I get up like a puppy and go, ‘Yes, well, I follow you.’
