The report confirms that the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be launched sooner than expected

The Galaxy S24 release date is January 17, 2024

A Report from SBS Biz Samsung says it will launch the Galaxy S24 on January 17, 2024 in San Francisco, USA. The company is said to have finalized its plans for the launch event and preparations have begun. It also confirms that the Galaxy S23 FE will launch in South Korea on December 1, 2023, with a price tag of KRW 800,000 (around $600). Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra design

The South Korean company is said to be looking at the Galaxy S24 series as the company’s savior in challenging times. The report claims that the Galaxy S24 will be an ‘AI phone’ with generative AI features like ChatGPT and Dall-E. Samsung has already announced its in-house Exynos 2400 processor and it has 30% faster GPU, 70% faster GPU and 14.7x faster NPU. It can perform on-device AI processing, allowing for generative AI features such as converting text to image. All the devices are rumored to feature Dynamic AMOLED 2x LTPO screens with 2,500 nits peak brightness.

Author’s Note: Usually, Samsung’s semiconductor chip division brings in the most revenue for the company. However, since last year, the demand for semiconductor chips has decreased due to market collapse, which has led to terrible sales and lower prices of memory chips. As a result, Samsung Electronics’ overall operating profit fell 96% in Q1 2023, and its semiconductor division posted its first loss in its history in Q2 2023. Its heavy losses were offset by solid sales of high-end smartphones. Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5.

While the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 performed well during the pre-order period, their sales reportedly fell short of expectations. So, Samsung may launch the Galaxy S24 series earlier than usual to make up for the low sales. It’s a tactic aimed at keeping competition from Apple’s iPhone 15 lineup at bay.
